what are some reasons why long distance relationships dont last?

I feel like I’m getting nowhere after becoming members of that website. I got matches that are totally random selected, I even got one that said “he’s a male stripper’!
The thing that totally breakes my heart is that I only got one match out of so many that I think i like. So I sent him an icebreaker, the next thing I know is that I was closed and blocked by him. How HURTFUL is that??

I am in a long distance relationship and my boyfriend and I are very happy and confident about it. I know it’s going to last and I’m sick of everyone telling me it wont. Why does everyone say that?

So i am falling in love with the perfect guy for me. The only problem is that he lives in Scotland and i live in Texas, USA. He is 18 and i am 17 and i we can’t fly to each other cause we don’t have enough money.
We talk on webcam and we text and email. I was just wanting to know if long distance relationships ever work out? Please no people saying he might be a 40 year old pedifial or anything like that cause he is not.
