Let’s say, that they can work, but the challenges are much greater, and often, with the distance you mentioned, it’s just too much, That’s six hours their and back, so it sweet much counts out weekdays. If you can use a bus or train, or plane, that would cut down on the fatigue factor, But then it can get expensive.
