Do long distance relationships ever work?

Wе аrе becoming really ехсеllеnt friends.
Bυt hе lives two states away.
I аm sweet sure hе lіkеѕ mе tοο.
Bυt im frightened wе wont work out аnd rυіn a fаntаѕtіс friendship.
Dο long distance relationships еνеr work? Arе thеу worth іt? Or іѕ іt a waste οf time?
Have you really met this guy in person. And in my own experiance I was going to date a guy who lived far away that i had met several times in person but we chose it wasnt the best thing because we didnt see eachother very often it would be to hard on each of us

if you are strong in your relationship and innocent of each other it is simple to make it work. i was in a long distance relationship for 3 years. it can be simple.
i recommend buying a web cam if you don’t already have one, it really helps just to be able to see their faces every day. it helps if you know similiar public, events, movies, etc. just so you have things to talk about and keep it fascinating. set aside a regular time to see them (ie once a month, once every 2 months…) and be sure to call them nearly every night to talk about your day/whats new.

I live in Florida and my boyfriend lives in Colorado and our relationship is absolutely perfect for the both of us. We’re both low-maintenance public and are in school so having time to ourselves is not necessarily a terrible thing.
But something that you should take into consideration is how much money you have to travel. My boyfriend and I have enough money to travel to see each other often so that helps out the relationship A LOT.
Another thing to consider is how jealous you are/how much you trust the other person. If you have any insecurities about the relationship at all DON’T BOTHER, It WILL NOT work out.
And if you’ve met this guy online or something than I highly doubt it will work out. I feel that you need to have an established relationship physically (and, of course, emotionally) to make it work long distance.
Oh and you NEED a webcam, I can’t stress that enough. Seeing my boyfriend’s smile with not seeing it for two weeks even on webcam is so alleviating.
But my relationship is a perfect example that they do work, it just takes a certain type of person for it to make it.
