Could long distance relationships ever work? Or are they destined to fail?

Do you guys believe in long distance relationships? Do you think they could ever actually work? Or is the distance too much to be in a relationship? If you have ever been in one please share your thoughts and opinion.

    They work when you know WHEN the long distance relationship will end. When you don’t, they will likely fail.

    I also think that any distance that’s too far to drive in a weekend without being exhausted is too far… unless you’re wealthy and have other means of transportation. For me, driving 200 miles to see my boyfriend (now husband) while he was in Austin and I was in Dallas was demanding. It was a little over three hours. I’m not sure we would have lasted had he been in Houston, which is farther.

    Story. Guy marries girl. girl gets into graduate school over 880 miles away. They takes turns visiting every other weekend. It seems like true love. 10years later. Girl has job which requires her to travel extensively. condoms fall out of her bag. Divorce is filed. Point. When you aren’t together, you aren’t together.Where’s the sacrifice?
